TO PROMOTE THE STUDY OF THE IMPACT OF CIRCULAR CHEMISTRY ON SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS AND STUDENTS
The core of the EU Green Deal is to turn climate and environmental challenges into opportunities across all policy areas and make the transition just and inclusive for all. It is important to notice that the shift to a circular economy is a condition for achieving the Paris Agreement targets regarding climate change.
The project aims to design and develop learning materials regarding CE that will be used to help pupils develop key
competencies such as critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving.
More precisely, the following project objectives will be reached through the activities implementation:
–Increase the interest of high school students to study the topic of circular chemistry through the use of digital
tools, innovative games and at the same time to motivate them to prepare experiments at home.
– Promote circular economy principles and ESD core competencies within chemistry education through the
developing digital learning environment.
–Support the initial and continuous professional development of teachers’ profiles in accordance with the
European lifelong learning approach through the application of practical and innovative tools in order to promote circular
chemistry in secondary schools.
