HER Voice: Empowering women to participate, lead, and build inclusive communities through active participation in democracy.

HERVoice promotes the strengthening of democratic structures and active civic engagement through adult education, working from neighborhood centers and community organizations. The project focuses on empowering women with limited access to social and economic opportunities due to factors such as their socioeconomic situation, immigration status, or systemic discrimination. By reinforcing knowledge of democratic principles, critical thinking, and personal development, HERVoice contributes to greater social inclusion and the strengthening of community capacity and cohesion.

To achieve its main objectives, HERVoice will carry out the following actions:

1. Analysis of community needs
2. Conducting secondary research (desk research) on existing policies, good practices, and available resources in order to assess the challenges and needs of local neighborhood centers and community organizations.
3. Training workshops and visit to Brussels
4. Organization of four workshops focusing on EU values, democratic participation, critical thinking, and media literacy, along with the development of guidelines for the implementation of political engagement activities at the local level. These actions will conclude with a study visit to Brussels for the participants, which will include a guided tour of the European Parliament, a meeting with an EU official, and visits to the Parlamentarium and the House of European History.
5. Promotion of local political dialogue
6. Development of political engagement activities by coordinating visits to local political institutions or inviting public representatives to engage in dialogue with participants, creating practical opportunities for citizen participation.

The HERVoice project aims to achieve the following results:

1. Training and empowerment
2. Training 10 community organizations and empowering 150 women to encourage their active participation in civic life.
3. Practical experience
4. Gaining direct experience in democratic processes by carrying out 10 local political activities, 5 dialogues with policy makers, and a study visit to the European Union.
5. Capacity building
6. Strengthening confidence, critical thinking, and active citizenship, culminating in an EU conference and the development of policy recommendations.

The project partners are based in the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Romania, and Cyprus.
