The I Annual Meeting of the Learn Africa Programme was held on Wednesday 12 June at the UNED Pontevedra. The aim of this event was to bring together all the beneficiaries of the Learn Africa scholarships in Spain to get to know each other, establish institutional contacts and interact with the Women for Africa Foundation and the collaborating universities.
After the l Annual Meeting of the Learn Africa Programme, the students participated in a training session on leadership, personal development and entrepreneurship given by the GEINNOVA team, specifically Carlos Franco Uliaque, for those who speak Spanish, and Naomi Nervo for those who were more comfortable in English.

During the 3-hour session, participants had the opportunity to learn and practice key topics such as innovation, creativity, self-care and professional effectiveness. This event was not only a platform for knowledge sharing, but also for the exchange of ideas and collaboration.

For several years, the foundation has been committed to leadership and soft skills training within the framework of several of its projects. This type of training not only provides women with the skills and knowledge they need to take up leadership positions, but also challenges and transforms traditional structures that often limit their progress.

Fostering women’s leadership contributes to the creation of more inclusive and equitable environments, boosting women’s participation and empowerment.
