Mindsmooth

We are pleased to announce the launch of the MindSmooth project, an innovative initiative dedicated to improving the mental wellbeing of young Europeans by providing easy-to-use mental health resources, simplifying access to support services, building a supportive online community and adding a touch of fun with gamification. The project aims to empower young people to effectively manage their mental health, fostering resilience and holistic wellbeing.
The MindSmooth project is driven by growing concerns about mental health problems among young Europeans, where stress, anxiety and depression are becoming increasingly prevalent. It is time to address these problems in a holistic way.
The main objective of the MindSmooth project is to use an interactive platform based on the ‘Minecraft’ game environment. Within the game, users can explore coping mechanisms, develop emotional resilience and learn practical strategies such as stress reduction techniques, guided meditation and evidence-based tools for better mental health management.
The objectives of the MINDSMOOTH project will result in the following achievements:

  1. Improved mental wellbeing: by integrating evidence-based stress reduction techniques, guided meditation and coping mechanisms within the game, the platform will result in a measurable improvement in users’ mental wellbeing.
  2. Increased mental health awareness: The game’s challenges, quests and narratives are designed to educate players about the importance of mental health, common mental health conditions and available support resources.
  3. Reducing stigma and encouraging open conversation: The engaging and supportive community of players breaks down the stigma of mental health, creating an environment where young players can comfortably talk about mental health and seek help.

What makes MindSmooth stand out is the innovative use of Minecraft gamification to address mental health issues among young people. It is a unique and fun way to make mental health support more engaging and accessible.
The MindSmooth project prioritises young people, ensuring accessibility and inclusion for all, regardless of gender, ethnicity, disability or socio-economic status. In addition, families, caregivers and educational institutions also benefit from the platform’s resources and expertise to understand and support affected young people.
The MindSmooth project represents a pioneering step towards holistic mental health support for young Europeans. Join us on this exciting journey to reform youth mental health. Stay tuned for the next steps of the project.

BE VOLUNTEER FOR HOPE

KA220-YOU

Educating the adults of the future

The project arises from the need, in many places, for a motivating school environment. In addition to this, if the vast majority of students come from disadvantaged groups, the result is that they lose interest in continuing their schooling and do not achieve higher level education. Besides the fact that they often do not have the means or the opportunities to do so.

The main motivation is to prepare the participants for adulthood, to make them think about the world and the conditions in which they will live and to help with the problems of Europe and the whole world and to try to achieve a more sustainable future for all.

To do so, the project enables all participants to explore, understand, describe and compare lifestyles across Europe, raise awareness, common concerns…, and thus help where it is most needed.

Objectives:

The overall objective of the project is to mitigate academic underachievement and student dropout among disadvantaged people. Collaterally aiming to:

Educating in the spirit of respect, human rights, fundamental freedoms, dignity, tolerance and free exchange of ideas.
